Bluebirds and Bluegrass Festival

Based at Pavilion 1
Live bands include The Little Roy and Lizzy Show, Edgar Loudermilk Band, and New Apostles of Bluegrass. Jam with the Middle GA Dulcimer Club inside the Atrium Room of the Visitors Center.
Food trucks include Ami's Kitchen, Big Pat's BBQ, Pacos Tacos, Affordable Gourmet, and 9-1-Yum.
Fun for the family! Come support numerous local artisans, see amazing blacksmithing and wood carving demonstrations, and learn more about bluebirds, nature and outdoor recreation.
Our main Gate will be open at 9:00. Music begins at 11:00.
We look forward to seeing you there!

School Field Trip: Call our office (770) 775-6798 to make a reservation for a guided tour/program.  There is a $2.00 fee per student for guided programs (as of 1.18.23).

Programs offered: Choose 2

  1. Mammals/Birds of Prey
  2. Reptiles
  3. Dendrology
  4. Barnyard
  5. Blacksmithing
  6. Orienteering

Schools are welcome to visit on their own. Please park school buses in the Overflow Parking field to the left after entering the main gate. There are picnic tables along the fence located at the edge of the woods as well as a picnic area and playground adjacent to the main parking. Restrooms are there as well.
